Nominations are now open for the prestigious Actif Carmarthenshire Sport Awards 2025. Now in its 27th year, the awards celebrate the very best of sport in the county - recognising athletes, coaches, volunteers, clubs and teams whose dedication and achievements inspire our communities.
Organised by Carmarthenshire County Council’s Sport and Leisure Team, the Actif Carmarthenshire Sport Awards shine a spotlight on local sporting heroes and the invaluable work of those who keep sport thriving at every level.
This year’s 13 award categories include:
Anyone born in Carmarthenshire, currently living in the county, or representing a Carmarthenshire club or school can be nominated. Athletes, coaches, and volunteers are also eligible to be nominated for multiple awards, though each category requires a separate nomination form.

The winners will be announced at a special ceremony at the Ffwrnes Theatre, Llanelli, on 12 February 2026.
Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Leisure, Culture and Tourism, Cllr. Hazel Evans, said:
