As part of the Ten Towns Programme, local artist JenksArt has been commissioned to create vibrant street art across our rural market towns. Seven murals are ready to explore with a further three in development to complete late Spring.
You can see these vibrant pieces of art at the following locations:
Llanybydder, Cwmaman and Llandovery will be the next areas for Jenks to visit to inject colour and character to our market towns.
Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Rural Affairs, Community Cohesion and Planning Policy, Cllr Carys Jones commented:
Thanks to the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund and the 10 Towns project, we have been able to show Carmarthenshire’s history, culture and community spirit through art! It is wonderful to see our rural market towns come to life in such a colourful and creative way. I’d like to thank Jenks Art for bringing vibrancy to our market towns.
