Carmarthenshire County Council was delighted to honour the winners of the Carmarthenshire Tourism Awards at a special celebration reception held at County Hall today.
The event, attended by Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Tourism and Leisure, Cllr Hazel Evans, and Chairman, Cllr Handel Davies, recognised the outstanding achievements of local tourism businesses.
The following businesses were celebrated for their excellence in tourism and hospitality:
Following their success at the Regional Tourism Awards, five Carmarthenshire businesses will now go on to represent the South West Wales region at the prestigious Visit Wales National Tourism Awards, which will take place at Venue Cymru in Llandudno on 27 March. The businesses advancing to the national stage are:
Cllr Hazel Evans, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Leisure, Culture and Tourism, praised the winners and their contributions to the local economy:
“Tourism plays a vital role in Carmarthenshire’s economy and communities. These awards highlight the dedication and hard work of the businesses working within the tourism industry. We are proud of these achievements and the positive impact tourism has on our county. Good luck to the five businesses that have gone through to the Visit Wales National Tourism Awards.”
